Get Ready for Spring Hockey!
The time has come to return to the tradition and pride of skating for your school. Now it’s your turn to dawn the black and gold of Nighthawks Hockey and be part of something big!
The Nighthawks are open to all players who will be attending either Niles North or Niles West High Schools for the 2010/2011 school year, are currently in 8th grade and will be an entering freshman, or current students of either of those schools.
Note: Under new AHAI guidelines, graduating 2010 seniors are ineligible to play for us in the Spring.
The Nighthawks will be playing in the Illinois Spring Hockey League out of the Skokie Skatium. There will be 8 regular season games, a 3-game guarantee round robin playoff, and at least 6 practices. The season will run from March 27th through May 27th with playoffs starting June 1st.
Tryouts and evaluations start Saturday, February 13th at 7:45pm, and will be held at the Skokie Skatium. Dates and times are as follows:
- Saturday, February 13th from 7:45pm to 9:15pm
- Saturday, February 27th from 9:00pm to 10:30pm
- Saturday, March 6th from 9:25pm to 10:55pm
The fee for the tryouts is $150.00 per skater, $50.00 per goalie.
Spring League fees will be $600.00 per skater and $300.00 for goalies.
It is strongly encouraged that all prospective players attend each of the 3 sessions.
Please download the Spring Registration Form and bring the completed and signed form, as well as the information mentioned on the form, to the first tryout session on February 13th.
