What is RSS?
  What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a popular method for websites to publish updates for anyone wanting to subscribe to them. Using an RSS Feed Reader, a user can specify an RSS Feed address they wish to subscribe to. The feed reader will look for updates from that website automatically on a schedule and will display them to you, just like a new email message.

The good part about RSS is that, as the name says, it's really simple, and it's completely anonymous. You don't need to provide an email address like newsletter subscriptions, you can start and stop at anytime, and you can use one of any of the free RSS Feed Readers available.

There is a great deal of information about RSS Feeds and RSS Feed Readers out there on the Internet just waiting for you to uncover. The feed reader I use is called, of all things, Feed Reader and can be found at feedreader.com. Google also has their own online feed reader that they offer with use of your Google Account, which you can check out at http://reader.google.com if you're a fan of their rapidly growing technologies and offerings. Short to say, you have a lot of choices out there for find a feed reader you like, and they're all free.

We hope you enjoy this latest service of our site, and if you're new to RSS, we hope you enjoy finding many of the RSS Feeds out there from your favorite sites on the web.

Enjoy.
