Conditioning Clinic and Tryout Dates Announced
The Nighthawks will be hosting a series of 4 Conditioning Clinics to help everyone get ready for the upcoming season, in addition to the two tryout sessions to follow.
Information on fees will be available shortly, but here's the dates you need to know about.
Clinic / Tryouts Registration:
Wed. August 15th, 7pm-9pm @ Skokie
Clinic Dates:
Sat. August 18th, 4:10pm-5:10pm @ Niles
Sun. August 19th, 4:10pm-5:10pm @ Niles
Sat. August 25th, 6:20pm-7:10pm @ Niles
Sun. August 26th, 4:10pm-5:10pm @ Niles
Tryouts:
Tue. August 28th, 8:20pm-9:50pm @ Skokie
Thu. August 30th, 8:20pm-9:50pm @ Skokie
The Conditioning Clinics are optional, but we encourage anyone interested in trying out for the team to attend, meet the coaching staff and get some time on the ice before tryouts.
Everyone interested in either the Clinics or Tryouts needs to register on the date listed above. Forms will be sent out in the mail shortly, and if you have any questions, please contact John Zuckerman at 847-966-9448.

Spring League Tryouts
Now that's the season it's over, it's time to think Spring. This year, the Nighthawks will be playing in the Illinois Spring Hockey League, with an eight game guarantee and five practice slots.
Tryouts will be held this Saturday and Sunday, March 10th and 11th, at the Skokie Skatium. Saturday's ice starts at 8:55pm, and Sunday at 7:35pm.
There is a non-refundable tryout fee of $50 due on Saturday before you can step on the ice, so don't forget.
Check your mailbox for more details if you haven't already, and I hope to see many of you this weekend.

Nighthawks Head to Next Round
After going a perfect 5-0 in the Founders Cup, the Nighthawks earned the first seed and will be playing the second seed from Metro North on Sunday, February 25th in Hoffman Estates, @ 5:20pm. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was moved to Sunday because of a conflict.
The Nighthawks will also be entering the first round of the AHAI Blackhawks Cup in the Combined Division. Their first game will be Saturday, February 24th against Conant at 8:55pm in Skokie.
Be sure to show up and support your Nighthawks.

Danny Codd Nets 50th Win
Not only was last Saturday's victory against Latin a big boost for the Nighthawks going into the second month of the season, it was also a milestone victory for Niles North Senior Danny Codd.
Already the all-time win leader for the Nighthawks, Danny became the first Nighthawks goalie ever to hit the 50-Win mark with this last victory, a feat accomplished in 111 games spanning over a little more than 3 seasons. Of those 50 wins, 12 of them were shutouts, another department in which he leads all other Nighthawks goalies in.
Second place on that all-time win list for the Nighthawks? His older brother Sean with 35 wins.
