It’s the end of August, and that means the first puck drop is almost here for another exciting season of Nighthawks Hockey!
With that, the first release of the Fall Schedule is now available for download below. And stay tuned, as we hope to have an online version of these schedules available in a few weeks.

The time has come to return to the tradition and pride of skating for your school. Now it’s your turn to don the black and gold of Nighthawks Hockey and be part of something big!
The Nighthawks are open to all players who will be attending either Niles North, Niles West, or Ida Crown Jewish Academy High Schools for the 2011/2012 school year. We are a no-cut team. You just have to have the desire to play Nighthawks Hockey.
We will be playing in the Metro-Central League and skating out of the Skokie Skatium, the American Heartland Ice Arena in Lincolnwood, and the Winnetka Ice Arena in Winnetka. Our spring coaches, Mike Majesty and Michael Drew will be returning to coach the team this fall. Formal player evaluations are Monday, August 29th & Thursday, September 1st. Practice starts Thursday, September 8th and our season starts the week of September 18th.
The schedule for the Player Evaluations is as follows:
The fee for the evaluation sessions is $250.00 per player. Goalies are $125.00. Player fees for the season will be $3,500.00. Goalies will be $2,000.00. For all new players, there will be a one-time $325.00 equipment fee. Player fees for evaluations will be applied to season fees at time of registration.
NOTE: It is mandatory that a parent accompany the skater to the first evaluation as parental signatures are required. Also, skater must be registered with USA Hockey and show proof of registration (with barcode). No skater will be allowed on the ice without the required signatures, proof of 2011-2012 USA Hockey insurance and full payment of evaluation fees.
A mandatory parents meeting will be held during the evaluation session on Thursday, September 1st once the players take the ice to answer any questions you may have.

Like it or not, summer is just about over. But on the plus side, that means another exciting season of Nighthawks Hockey is right around the corner!
So, it’s time to get those skates sharpened, wash all that foul smelling hockey gear, and get those legs back in shape.
We are almost finished with our 2011-2012 season plans, so stay tuned here and on Facebook for updates very soon. We will be back on this ice before you know it, and you don’t want to be left behind. Information will be out within the next week.
